Why I built it
When I moved to the city in 2026, I tried to find things to do and help my family might qualify for, which became too complicated. Events and resources were scattered across countless social media apps and websites.
I stay off most social media because it’s built to keep you scrolling, the opposite of Yinzlist's mission. I wanted a clean, trustworthy place to find things to do, with no ads or distractions. Yinzlist wants you to go outside and be a part of your community, whether that's your family, friends, neighbors, or all of the above. It’s free, and I created it under a nonprofit, so it can never be poisoned by for-profit activities. I hope it helps you the way it's helped me!
